Well.. Here's my Round 2 entry for The Studio's Next Designer Contest!
Ahhh.. Summer afternoons! Ya gotta luv 'em! To me a summer afternoon is lazing around watching the kids in the paddling pool in the shade so it made sense to replicate this in this kit! It's funny because I had a concept & style in mind but after a day or so it developed differently to how I wanted it to go... however.. it's done now & I am happy. I am very thrilled to get to Round 2 so if I don't go any further I am very happy knowing that I got at least part of the way!
This week we had to use a supplied preview template & make the title "pop". Summer afternoon was our given title & theme too! Colours are all our own choice as long as there was 20 elements, inc 1 cluster & 6 papers. So here we go again.. send me luck!
How great! I'm quite stoked! Making it through to Round 2 of the Studio's Next Designer Contest is a buzz! Now - I just have to pick a colour swatch & create a "Summer Afternoon" kit! Hmmm.... Here we go! Poor BJ (DH) said to me, "Congrats & fantastic - See you next monday night!!!" I guess he's thinking I'll be spending a little time at the computer this weekend? LOL!
Thankyou to everyone who wished me luck for the last round - I really appreciate it. :)
Here's a fantastic layout that Annette did using "Awakening". I love the way she has used the view from her balcony as an overlay on her page. Hmm.. Brekky looks pretty good too!
Well here is my round 1 entry for "The Studio's" Next Designer Contest. I have really learnt a lot doing this little mini kit & if I don't make it through to Round 2 - then I'm pretty happy & if I do get through - well I'll be even happier! lol!

I've never done anything like this before & I am looking forward to not only the challenges but learning new things! My Pa used to say to me "Trace, you don't need luck, you make your own!" - words I have lived by however a little bit of luck will be great! lol!
